Our Story

Riterly was built by a developer who kept losing the battle between knowing something and getting it published. The result is a writing tool that doesn't ask you to describe your voice — it reads your writing and figures it out. Your profile shapes every draft. Your voice stays yours.

Building Your Writing Profile

After registration, Riterly takes you directly into a 6-step profile wizard. This is where the system builds your writing profile on top of the niche template you selected.

The wizard covers six areas:

  • Who you are and what you write about — your background, the subject matter you cover, and how you position yourself relative to your readers
  • Your readers — who they are, what they already know, what they're trying to do, and what would cause them to stop reading
  • Voice and tone — this is done through example-based comparisons, not abstract descriptions; you respond to real writing samples rather than trying to describe your tone in the abstract
  • Language patterns — specific phrases you use, phrases you avoid, and any terminology that's particular to your writing
  • Post structure — how you typically open, how you develop an argument or explanation, how you close
  • Typical topics — the subject areas and content types you produce most often

Work through all six steps with care. The profile wizard is not a form to be completed as quickly as possible — it's where the system learns what makes your writing yours. Vague or rushed answers produce a profile that outputs competent but generic writing. Specific answers produce output that sounds like you.

The wizard builds on the niche template, not from scratch. This means some fields will already have sensible defaults based on your niche selection. Review them rather than skipping them — some defaults will fit, others won't.
